Date: Mon, 4 Sep 2000 13:39:47 -0400 Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Michael Bowen Subject: MD sightings Comments: To: voice@capaccess.org Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed On Sunday, September 3, at the Central Turf Farms along John Brown Rd., Queen Anne's County, MD, there were: 15+ AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER, some coming into breeding plumage 1 UPLAND SANDPIPER at least 4 PECTORAL SANDPIPER and an equal number of LEAST SANDPIPER numerous HORNED LARK Above birds seen around 10 a.m. Other MD birders who were there earlier had also seen at least one BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, but we did not see on e, despite birding the area intensely for more than an hour.
