I thought to look for songbirds but when I saw that the reservoir had been drained off a bi t, I grabbed my scope. I had to walk ~ 1/4 mile up the reservoir (approximately North) following the sounds of Killdeer the whole way. There were more than 70 Killdeer there. The reservoir opens up the re and the birds are all out at the end of the mud. The Buff-breasted was in the short grass near the recently exposed mud walking around by itself. Also seen: 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers 10 Unid. Peep (I didn't want to walk past the BBSA to get a better look) 4 Pectoral Sandpipers 3 Semipalmated Plovers 2 Great Blue Herons 2 Green Herons 1 Ring-billed Gull 2 Belted Kingfishers ======================================================= John B.
