I went there Frida y on the way to Bombay Hook and saw one Buff-breasted and one Upland Sandpiper. On my return from Bombay Hook, I saw neither. So, after seei ng further reports on Mdosprey, I revisited the farm on Sunday and got grea t looks at the sandpipers and Golden Plovers. Two Buff-breasted Sandpipers seemed to like a spot where I could have easily overlooked them - They were walking towards John Brown Road in the tall grass strip (and on the sod next to the tall grass) that boarders the dirt road (across from the house) that bisects the sod field and the dirt field - they were halfway between John Brown Road and the grass gully. I also noticed that you can look into part of the grass gully if you stand near the mail box where t he dirt road and John Brown Road intersect - a third Buff-breasted Sandpipe r was in the brown grass in this gully along with a Pectoral Sandpiper. Th e Buff-breasted Sandpipers were also in the far northeast corner of the dir= t field before the grass gully. Hopefully, the birds will still be there and this information will be helpful.
