We had 11 species of warbler, but the diversi ty was heavily skewed towards Redstarts (about 20), Black-and-Whites (ca. 16 -18), Chestnut-sided (10), Bluewings (4-5) and only 1-3 Magnolia, Yellowthroat, Worm-eating, Tennessee, Nashville, Blackburnian and Parula. Howver, the highlight was probably two Philadelphia Vireos, one at picnic area 17/18 and one in the maintenance yard (seen by Bill Dobbins and others), as wel l as a very cooperative Yellow-throated Vireo at the ridge, as well as a Le ast Flycatcher there. Other migrants included Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Great Crested Flycatcher, Eastern Pewee, R-T Hummingbird, Brown Thrasher and many many Chimney Swifts. Migrations should continue strongly as long as the good weather and winds hold! Cheers, Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper ======================================================================== To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================== ==========================================================================
