Around the neighborhood this morning we found 12 species of warblers with multiples of many of the following species- TENNESSEE, PARULA, CHESTNUT-SIDED, MAGNOLIA, BTB, BTG, BLACKBURNIAN, BLACKPOLL, B&W, PROTHONTARY!!, REDSTARTS and more REDSTARTS, COMMON YELLOWTHROATS and two warblers that appeared to be BREWSTERS hybrids. A PHILADELPHIA VIREO crowned it all off ! This afternoon a couple migrant COOPERS HAWKS and KESTREL. A SHARPIE that made off with something from the feeders - cowbird I think. My birdbath leaf-mister is drawing warblers into the back garden. I had a wonderful time watching a female common yellowthroat and lovely male northern parula bathe in the mist spraying into the butterfly bush. An afternnon trip to centennial park turned up one pocket with CA NADA and NASHVILLE (and another REDSTART).
