Following is an announcement from the Prince George's Audubon Society about our Tuesday evening. Naturally, Mike Callahan Prince George's Audubon Society is hosting speaker Connie Toops at their September Meeting. September 12, 2000 7:00 PM at the National Wildlife Visitor Center at Patuxent Research Refuge, Laurel MD =93The Joy of Bluebirds=94, Connie Toops, renowned Author and Photographe r will speak and answer questions all about bluebirds. Connie is the author of a number of books including the award winning book Bluebirds Forever. If you read any birding magazines you may recognize this talented nature writer name from her columns and articles about birds and birding. She has worked as a Park Ranger at various National Parks throughout the United States. Come and learn all you ever wanted to know about bluebirds, especially since it is the Eastern Bluebird is our Prince George=92s Audubon Society (PGAS) mascot and the County bird. Thi s meeting is the kick off our new program season and will be held special location. The National Wildlife Visitor Center at Patuxent Research Refuge will host us and this program is a joint event of PGAS the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
