Thrushes were found in the woods with both VEERY and SWAINSONS. A poor showing of warblers but an adult male HOODED was noteworthy. 5 ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS were a treat to find. We headed over to Meadowbrook in the afternoon. We had a nice hawk flight and could have saved the effort of thrashing through the lowlands since it produced very little. keeping our eyes upwards we tallied 2 BALD EAGLES (both imm) and 2 OSPREYS at 2:30-2:35 P.M. A NORTHERN HARRIER at 3:00 and 189 BROAD-WINGED HAWKS over the course of the afternoon. KESTREL, RED-SHOULDERED and SHARPIE rounded out the raptors.
