However, this summer a pair seems to have managed a successful hatch near my Tunis Mills property. For the past 6 weeks we have been seeing and hearing one or two or three of them. Then, last week, my wife had the fun of seeing at least ten of them as she drove down our lane. I'd love to think they actually nested on our grounds (5 acres). However, even if they did not use our place, they surely used some spot very close to us. I heard another Bobwhite last Sunday morning at 7:15 a.m. at Pickering Creek Environmental Center while I was awaiting the arrival of other birders for our Sunday Morning Birdwalk at that site.
