Today was much the same, except (1) a Western-type Palm Warbler in the shrubs at the north end of the Hains Point golf course, and (2) a male American Kestrel engaging in a desultory (but protracted) dog fight with an American Crow, atop the L'Enfant Plaza Post Office Building. Neither was showing much enthusiasm, with periods of perching interspersed by some slow aerobatics. This kestrel may be a resident, since I've seen kestrels around the mall off-and-on all summer.
