I have a cold which kept me at home. Anyway, unfortunately, there was almost nothing at any of the sites except Hunting Creek, which is NOT in Maryland or DC. He did see some Pintail and Shovelers along the hydrilla mats, but no shorebirds nor interesting terns or gulls. At Hunting Creek the best birds were the continuing Sanderling, a Stilt Sandpiper and the L-B Dowitcher as well as an assortment of other waders, about 25 peep (Semi-P and Least), a few Pecs, one Semi-P Plover, Yellowlegs and Killdeer. All got up at one point (possible Peregrine high overhead) but unfortunately did not deign to fly into Maryland waters! Oh well, back to Rock Creek tomorrow! Cheers, Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper \ ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
