Pleasant) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Went out to Mt. Pleasant in Woodstock this morning. As wild as it looked early on it ended up a lovely morning and I was glad to have gone out. As I stepped out of the car an OSPREY powered over, followed by a MERLIN. The resident KESTRELS put on an acrobatic show overhead. The SONG SPARROWS were in low numbers but some were obviously migrants. A few FIELD SPARROWS but they were certainly residents. Almost no warblers, one MAGNOLIA and COMMON YELLOWTHROATS. The most surprising birds were 20 INDIGO BUNTINGS- a few scattered around but I found 14 in one small sapling! An amazing sight and each one looked unique. Would have driven me to distraction in my early birding days.
