Wind from the W to NW, but weather calls for NE today and felt wind from the W and NE. Most clouds moving from the W and NW. Mostly Sunny in am with very few thin clouds very high up. Raptor Migration Highlight: Well, I'm not behind schedule. Busiest morning was between 11am and 11:30am with over 4000 BW streaming along. They never stop streaming between 10:56am-11:34am, they just kept streaming along for like several miles long. Biggest kettle was a long stream of 3,009 BW with few other hawks mixed in at 11:03am and last until 11:13am, but more follows. Begin at 10:56am, first kettle was 306 following by 3,009; 6; 1; 83; 202; 392; 200; 169; 19; 309; 113; 93; and last kettle was 40 at 11:34am. Few BW came in at 9am. Also season first imm. Northern Goshawk first spotted pretty low at 10:44am headed W. Non-Raptor Migration Highlight: Season first geese with a flock of 13 at 11:33am and 10 at 11:49am and both headed SE. Season first big day of Blue Jay. One flock of 14 at 10:12am and other was 17 at 10:22am. Swifts numbers are not a new record, last old record back in 1998 was over 4000.
