On a Cromwell Valley Park walk led by Jim Ryan Saturday morning, we found two Wilson's Warblers and a Philadelphia Vireo (a new state bird for me!). Jim also told us about the plans for developing Loch Raven Reservoir whic h will negatively impact the park. Monday morning, State Senators, legislators, park officials, etc. will me et to take a tour of the park. Thus far, they claim that very few people ha ve expressed interest in preserving the park against the major environmental changes being considered. Jim is trying to get out the word that anyone who is available to go birding Monday morning while the dignitaries are visit ing might add weight to the claim that people appreciate the natural history found in the park. If you have time to help, simply go birding along the road leading to the lime kiln somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. Don Burggraf Baltimore _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
