Your message reminded me of the bird I saw on=20 June 11, 1988 (can it really be 12 years ago?!?) in Charles City County, Virginia. Now that was a=20 celebrity bird! I wonder how many other MDOspreyers saw that one? That day I drove the three hours to the site, saw the bird, then had to drive madly back home to go to a wedding. I have only the foggiest=20 memories of the wedding, but not the flycatcher! The lesson of Brian's message, though, is so true. If we saw every rare bird we chase, what fun would it be? The thrill of the chase is almost as much fun as=20 finding the object of the chase, and is great consolation when that object gets away. Thanks for the nice story, Brian!
