It is supposed to be "encyclopedic," showing each species in juvenile, immature, male and fema le plumage, breeding and non-breeding. Not surprisingly will be 9.5 " and weigh 2.65 lbs., which would require a pretty big pocket. The author is an artist, as well as a birder, and apparently brought that skill to the project. Peter Dunne was quoted as saying, "This books represents the high-water mark for bird guides." "The Sibley Guide to Birds" is scheduled to be published next month. ======================================================================== To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================== ==========================================================================
