Instead of having a board meeting at Clyburn, we could set up a daily board meeting at the future nature center (the old firehouse) and a possible lecture meeting for the BBC and MOS members. The classroom area is bigger than any rooms we go to meetings in Clyburn. The Bird Museum in Clyburn will stay there at the mansion. This is just part of my plan for the City Council to pick out which of my plan he like and which he doesn't like. On the bottom is not a optional: The "future" nature center will have a large classroom for school programs, meetings and others; smaller classroom for small groups; possibe a small gift shop; a museum on one wall with pictures of wildlife of Maryland and wildlife seen in the ridge; learning center on another wall with feathers, eggs, skeletons, and others; one or two offices in the back of the building; possible a kitchen as a staff/volunteer lounge with foods/hot and cold drinks and chairs; a small storage room.. if enough room on first floor; on second floor, more offices, storage area; one room with staff for residence; other room for intership staff for nighttime migration count and evening bird banding; a kitchen for staff/volunteer lounge..... In the backyard of the old firehouse would be a wildlife creation habitiat similar to Wild Acres Program with tons of butterflies and hummingbirds bushes, ponds... a trail through the backyard to the woods where a raptor display await us on the left side of the trail and behind the display is a off-limit large flight cage for pre-release training for injured raptors and other birds before returning to the wild; ahead is a trail meet other trail and onthe right is a hawkwatch tower with a possible a flat open air elevator instead of stairs (too high to climb) for our older members. Large workshop/garage for education program for nestbox building, bird feeder building and few other things in the back of the large; a goverment vehicles including a 15-person cargo van for transport stuffs to school for education and for a group of people on a special field trips to Hawk Mountain, Horsehead Wetlands center and few other places. The garage/workshop will be located in a tiny patch of woods across street from the wooded ridge on the northeast corner, at intersect of Parkmount and Fairwood Avenues. More plans are on my notes __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
