Unfortunately I had to leave for a doctor's appt., so couldn't do the Nature Ctr. and dog run (Military Fi eld). In general, numbers and diversity down from yesterday, but still fun as t hat walnut tree filled up with warblers as the sun came up. Our counts: Black-throated Green (25), Black-throated Blue (3), Magnolia (20), Redstart (4), Blackpoll (5), Bay-breasted (3), Nashville (2), Parula (1), Chestnut-sided (3), Common Yellowthroat (12), Black-and-White (12), Blackburnian (1),Tennessee (1), [Ovenbird -2, not by us], Red-eyed Vireo (10) Scarlet tanager (4), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (3), Brown Thrasher (4), Swai nson's Thrush (2), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (8), Swamp Sparrow (2), Least Flycatcher (1- amazingly cooperative!), Phoebe (12), Pewee (1), Flicker (15), [Yello w- bellied Sapsucker - 1 seen by Bill Dobbins], Cedar waxwing (15). Also, a very late Ruby-throated Hummingbird (female) which try as we migh t could not be made into anything more interesting! One Merlin and a single Broadwing were also seen.
