MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Stan & all--I stopped at the Fork-tailed Flycatcher site in Delaware on Wednesday, Sept 27, on my way back from Kiptopeke, arriving about 5:00 PM and staying until 7:00 PM, about 15 minutes after sunset. I thought that if this was the Vermont bird, it might repeat its Vermont habit of appearing at d usk. No luck. While keeping my vigil, the owners of the property on which the bird was found on Friday and Saturday, came out to greet me and to chat. Their yo ung daughter said that she had been seeing this bird for about a month, and h ad pointed it out to her parents. I'm relating this in the event that it ha s been at least a month since the VT flycatcher was last seen. They also s aid that they had not seen the bird since it was observed flying North about 4:30 PM last Saturday.
