Brian Monk birded Bosley with me in the morning where the highlights were Philadelphia Vireo, Least Flycatcher, Chesnut-sided Warbler, and 4 Black-throated Blue Warblers. I birded the rest of day by myself next visiting Edgewood Arsenal and being very pleased with a very close Nashville Warbler and a Gray-cheeked Thrush. Parulas were all over the place the rest of the day. Also good numbers of Black-throated Green and Magnolia Warblers. Two Ruddy Ducks were in the Gunpowder. Another Nashville at Perryman was nice, but sparrow flocks were dismal, perhaps due to my midday arrival. Tomorrow I will try for better timing. I failed to relocate the Connecticut at Swan Harbor, though it was 5pm. Fall arrivals for the day (for me anyway) included Swamp Sparrow (Mullins Park), Yellow and Western Palm (Perryman-yellow only and Mullins), Both Kinglets (GC at Bosley and Edgewood), White-throated Sparrow (various), and a Dark-eyed Junco (Edgewood). Yesterday I forgot post most of my birds from Tydings. Fall arrivals included 4 American Wigeon, 5 Northern Shoveler, 10 American Coots, and a Bonaparte's Gull. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
