MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit It has finally happened and the MOVE has begun. This morning I went to Mount Pleasant and had a fabulous sparrow time. There were 4 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS and each one unique. I often have great luck and long study times on Lincolns. I ususally always flush them before seeing them. The minute I flush one (they don't go far) I freeze and they often stay put for a long time. Look for the raised crest, pointy headed look and cocked up tail. I've found they almost always put both crest and tail up when they flush. There were aprox 65 SONG SPARROWS, 20 SWAMP, 6 SAVANNAH, 3 FIELD and 3 WHITE-THROATS. A big bonus was a MARSH WREN in among the songs and swamps up on the top of a brushy hill. A young WHITE-EYED VIREO followed me all morning, a male BLACK-THRAOTED blue was eating mile a minute berries. PALMS have arrived in numbers and I still had the MAGNOLIAS and BTGs around. A ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK pinked as it flew over and KINGLET numbers are creeping upwards daily.
