Date: Mon, 9 Oct 2000 08:48:09 EDT Reply-To: Maryland Birds & Birding Sender: Maryland Birds & Birding From: Gail Mackiernan Subject: Rock Creek 10/8 Hi all -- Sorry this didn't get posted yesterday but there were no "biggies" so it is more a matter of information -- despite the strong cold front or perhaps because of it -- there were only 5 species of warbler at Rock Creek and just a smattering of other migrants: Black-throated Green (~20), Black- throated Blue (6), Nashville (4), Common Yellowthroat (4), Tennessee Warbler (1), Blue-headed Vireo (3), Red-eyed Vireo (2), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (~15), Brown Thrasher (1), House Wren (3), a late Yellow-billed Cuckoo in the Maintenance Yard being the most interesting bird.
