Saturday Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed I stopped at North Branch in Allegany County on Saturday the 7th. I did not manage to find either of 2 Baird's Sandpipers that I saw there last weekend. I did not continue around to the back of the impoundments where shorebirds often move to and from. Instead I took a birder's advice and spent part of my time there walking some fields (spray fields) adjacent to the C&O Canal trail. I did have: American Bittern 1 Cooper's Hawk 1 Red Tail 1 Savannah Sparrows 6 or 8 Lincoln's Sparrows 2 White-Throated Sparrow 2 Pectoral Sandpipers 7 Semipalmated Plover 1 Greater Y-legs 1 Lesser Y-legs 1 Least S-piper 1 Palm Warblers a couple Myrtle Butts (Y-rumped Warblers) a few Later at Town Hill for about 2 hours: 3 Sharpies 2 Am.
