We are having a bit of a crunch in that all our " regulars " will be away, and I am leading the field trip with DOS. So, hawks will be missed until I can get the group out the hawk watch. Naturally, they wish to look at passerines on the way in, so I am anticipating not being able to begin counting until at least 10 AM and maybe later. And it is difficult to count when trying to make sure everyone in a group is seeing birds. So, if anyone could help out this Saturday it would be much appreciated. It was about this time last year we had a gangbuster flight of 400+ raptors including good numbers of Red-shouldered hawks. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for this weekend. Please reply to me at gonbrdn@dol.net if interested.
