Just recently the noon time Laughing Gull number have increased at Schoolhouse Pond in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County. The first Franklin's Gull of the season is out there bathing [an immature]. These birds roost somewhere on the Chesapeake Bay and then head to the Brown Station Landfill. The flocks at Schoolhouse Pond are a small fraction of the birds that visit the landfill. Good Birding!
