On the way there I saw both kinglets, Blue-headed Vireo, and Yellow Palm, Myrtle, and Black-throated Blue Warblers. On the lake I found 8 Coots, 3 Ruddy Ducks, and about 12 Pied-billed Grebes. I saw Wade Stephen there looking for Lincoln's Sparrows. Two made a brief and obstructed appearance. We also found an Orange-crowned Warbler giving close views almost on the ground. Later we saw an immature White-crowned Sparrow, my first of the season. On the way back a Black-throated Green Warbler made another warbler for the day.
