American Robins were abundant; huge numbers seem to be migrating through and the food supply this year is tremendous. Large flock of Yellow-rump Warblers -- perhaps 30 or so in one spot. Some other warblers but of the confusing fall variety -- Pine/Blackpoll/Bay Breasted type. Juncos are becoming more common. One Brown Creeper. Two+ Red-Shouldered Hawks, one Cooper, and one Sharpshin. Probable Red Tail, but not heard or seen, just a huge flock of crows screaming at something. Both Kinglets are around. One Hermit Thrush. Lots of White-throated Sparrows. While "interesting" birds were missing, the sheer numbers kept one busy looking (and hoping) for something good. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
