Fall season runs August 1st to January 15th, but usually start early because of non-raptors passing through. Note: The week of 10/13-10/20 of raptors and non-raptors are including in the total. No hawkwatch today as I went to the 18th century camping to Ft. Mercer in National Park, New Jersey. Small flock of Bufflehead on the river near the fort. I did some counting before and after at my hawkwatch, 7:45am-8:30am and 6:15pm-7pm with 402 Canada geese, 109 Blue Jay, 18 American Robin and couple other species and all are not including in the list yet Raptor 10/21 SEASON 1999 Turkey Vulture 2 255 608 Black Vulture 1 24 37 Golden Eagle 0 1 1 Bald Eagle (a & i) 0 20 32 Northern Harrier 2 27 37 Sharp-shinned Hawk 29 430* 386 Cooper's Hawk 6 123 234 Northern Goshawk 0 2 4 Red-shouldered Hawk 19 89 194 Broad-winged Hawk 0 13,583* 12,113 Red-tailed Hawk 5 65 893 Rough-legged Hawk 0 0 5 Osprey 1 85* 84 American Kestrel 1 124 136 Merlin 0 14 36 Peregrine Falcon 0 4 5 Swainson's Hawk 0 0 n/a Unidentified Accipiter 0 4 2 Unidentified Buteo 0 3 8 Unidentified Eagle 0 0 n/a Unidentified Falcon 0 1 2 Unidentified Raptor 0 2 2 66 14,856* 14,819 Non-Raptor 10/21 SEASON 1999 Common Loon 0 9 ??
