Sadly, it is of the 'female Ruby-throat' sort, with greenish flanks, white-tipped tail feathers and no rufous anywhere. My yellow book is at home. Is this amazingly late for Ruby-throated Hummingbirds? Any hints on differentiating this from a Black-chinned female?
