The turnout of birders was great as usual. The turnout of birds was low, probably due to the warm humid weather. The upper field was empty but we did find activity down along the stream. The most notable bird was a BROWN CREEPER. Plenty of KINGLETS and SONG, WHITE-THROAT and SWAMP SPARROWS. Woodpeckers were in good supply with HAIRY, DOWNY, FLICKER and RED-BELLIEDS. The park is minus one Pileated though, we found a spot strewn with large black and white feathers. There are nesting Great-Horned there so maybe that is what took him. Bonnie Ott P.s. Managed hunting is going on there so it is off limits on certain days. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
