Fantastic indeed. To add to the arrival of the Tundra Swans, I just (5:50 PM, with a misty moon),walked up to my mailbox and heard a flock of swans flying above in the darkness. Just 8 days ago I was driving along the Mississippi River, south of Minneapolis and stopped at Rieck's Park where a Tundra Swan watch had begun. That day, the first of thousands of TUSWs had arrived and set down in the marsh. There were only 20 or so. I guess this past week has been pretty spectacular there since it is right on the major flyway to the Chesapeake Bay. ////// Arlene Ripley | || Calvert County, MD | 0 || aripley@nestbox.com | || http://www.nestbox.com || ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
