MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit 3:00 p.m. - I just returned from checking Centennial park and was able view the GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE very well. It is an adult bird with distinct pink bill and white area surrounding where the area where the bill ends. It also shows the lovely black barring on the belly, which I was able to observe when it raised up slightly out of the water. It has snowy white undertail coverts and white rump. It was in the company of a dozen or so Canadas at the concession stand island.(in the water) There are close to 1000 canadas on the lake however so it may move among the big flock. I would start at the concession stand - enter the park at the main entrance off Rt 108 and park in the main lot on the right. (just past the first rd which heads to the boat dock and upper hill). If looking for it tomorrow I would suggest both Wilde Lake and Centennial. I will look for it in the a.m. on the way to work and will post results. You can call me at work for info during the day- 410-461-3361. Bonnie Ott (with a new lifer!!)
