MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Folks, Five Buffleheads (four males & one female plumaged) at Lake Elkhorn were the first I've seen there this season. Waterbirds are increasing in number on this small lake. Today's tally (Thur., 16 Nov): Pied-billed Grebe--6 Canada Goose--6 Mallard--25 Ring-necked Duck--22 Bufflehead--5 Ruddy Duck--3 Am. Coot--4 Other waterbirds there included two trumplings, two domestic geese, and lots of muts. Yesterday I was able to locate the GWF Goose at Centennial Lake. Also present in the large Canada Goose flock was a CanadaXdomestic hybrid, larger than the Canadas, with a lot of white on the face and throat. I missed the small-race Canada.
