Both were still present today. The first is what appears to be an adult female selasphorus type = (rufous/Allen's) bird.Brief description: Orange/brown sides extending = slightly over the wing, green back, white throat and belly with dark = triangular patch on the throat. The second bird is either a late female Ruby-Throated or a = Black-Chinned. Marshall Iliff observed both birds today and he was = leaning more towards the Ruby-throated. Having never seen a = Black-chinned I personally would not attempt an ID based on the width of = a primary. However I do intend to ask for a manual recount of all of the = field marks in order to make it turn into a Black-Chinned :). Anyone wishing to take a look is welcome to stop by, Directions: 10123 Hammond Road Bishopville MD DeLorme Pg. 35 A4.5 From Route 50 in Berlin proceed north on Route 113 until the = intersection of Hammond road turn Right onto Hammond. Cross the RR tracks and turn right at the intersection, Make the next = left to remain on Hammond Road. Ours is the forth house on the left, a = gray Cape Cod about 250 feet from the road. The feeders are out back. We = will be out tonight and in and out tomorrow. It is not necessary to call = just come by.
