The best bird of the day was a lone American Tree Sparrow, the first we've seen this Fall. Temperatures ranged from 30-45 degrees with only very light winds and full sun. Virtually all of the birds seen were along the north trail which opens off the northern soccer field. A full list of sightings follows. This afternoon we went to Centennial Lake in Howard County where we dipped on the Greater White-fronted Goose. We ran into Nancy Magnusson who had been searching for the bird since about 11:30 am. She noted that the numbers of Canada Geese at the lake were much, much lower than on the previous 3-4 days. If anyone did manage to locate the GWFG today, please post a note here with information about the time and location. Thanks!
