Though I saw at at 1:00 pm, Glen Lovelace apparently missed it two hours earlier. Could be that it feeds on the grassy shoulder primarily in the afternoon. Be sure NOT to drive into the boat ramp proper since you will inevitably flush the sparrows. You are better off walking in from the large parking area. I saw little else today but Jim Stasz birded Kent Co. and apparently had a Rough-legged migrating past Eastern Neck NWR, 3 male Brewer's Blackbirds were in a large mixed blackbird flock (starlings, redwings, cowbirds) off Rte. 20 near the road to Fairlee, and an im. Golden Eagle over a pond just se. of Worton about 1 mi. Several thouand Snow Geese were on the pond, which seems a good situation for Ross's (there is only one Kent County record). Both hummingbirds were still present at Allen Dewar's house this afternoon.
