But... I do know where I saw rusty blackbirds on election day. Well, I sort of know. We were driving back roads in Queen Anne's county, north of Rt 50 on the Corsica peninsula. towards the northern side of that we passed a small pond ringed with trees. Saw some acticvity and stopped--rusty blackbirds. I woud guess about 6 or so and a nice mix of hedgerow birds, and a raptor over the adjoining field. The nearest blackbirds were within ten feet of the car. Never even got out of our vehicle as we didn't want to flush them.
