There were no rare finds and all of the species seemed to be driven away by a migrating group of mixed blackbirds that went on for ten minutes. They decided to take over the area that we were birding in, drowning out chances for salt-marsh sparrows and yellow-billed cuckoos. Some of the species we saw though were: -red-winged blackbird -common grackle -brown-headed cowbird -european starling -blue jay -cardinal -carolina chickadee -SHARPIE -turkey vulture -unknown buteo -white-throted sparrow -belted kingfisher -dark-eyed junco As you can see, not a whole lot of species....It did prove to be a good spot for raptors though. I imagine with less people and blackbirds you would be able to see more species. NOTE: try birding there in the morning I will go to horsehead tommorow again. I only live 5 minutes away. Will notify you on any of my finings! Adam Wieczorek Queen Anne's County _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web.
