In-Reply-To: Message of Fri, 1 Dec 2000 16:16:34 EST from Hi Marshall -- Never fear, the bird was well-photographed by John, who fortunately had taken his camera in order to photograph Redheads and Hooded Mergs. I cannot think of another Maryland inland record, the closest I ever came was a bird (also a female) in Chesapeake Bay. Of course they nest on swift inland streams in the NE. Of course I did not see it, being home taking care of other matters -- Gail Mackiernan p.s. Barry said they watched the bird feeding actively for quite a while, and saw it catch at least two small fish. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
