However, while scanning the flock, i saw a strange looking bird (which i will confess, at first i thot was a Female Harlequin -- gee, wonder where that came from?) Anyway, i turned out to be a female Surf Scoter. She was very nervous the whole time and flew twice, but circled around to rejoin the flock. Later, around noon, i went back and found her again. This time she flew off to the North and did not circle back. The female Common Yellowthroat is also still hanging on; i see or hear her almost every day. danny bystrak bristol, AA Co.
