They caught up with lifer American Tree Sparrows along Manor Woods Rd. (about 8) but only 2 in Lilypons itself. Other species of interest included about 20 White-crowned Sparrows in a variety of locations, about 50 Swampies, a large flock of Horned Larks with at least one Lapland Longspur along New Design Rd. in the big field on the right just as you turn north from Oland Rd. Lilypons was rather quiet but they did not so it all -- no sign of a Bittern and the only "half-hardy" was a Phoebe. The ponds were frozen. Nothing at Cap Stine Rd. either and no sign of any shrikes. However, more careful scouting before the CBC might turn one up.
