Until I hit the cutoff woods adjacent to Kinder Rd and the RR. The area was protected from the wind and was full of birds - 20 or 22 species in one mixed feeding flock. It included a Sapsucker and 2 Hairys, Song and Field Sp, numerous Robins, a full 2 dozen Bluebirds that gathered around the owl tape at once (that was nice), a Pine Warbler and the highlight - a Rusty Blackbird. Elsewhere in the vicinity were pipits, larks, 180+ Killdeer and 2 late Laughing Gulls in the fields. Also an immature Bald Eagle on Oak Grove Rd.
