MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Kathie, I know of two potential spots for longspurs in MD, though I haven't seen any yet this fall. One is the large fields on Ironshire Station Rd and the south end of Evans Rd south of Berlin. If you strike out on the longspurs, search the hedgerows along Evans Rd for sparrows. The second is the large fields on Sparks Rd and Clarks Lane north of Ridgely (Caroline Co). I saw them here last February. Specific directions were given in posts last January or February and would be available in the archive. A couple non-MD options (shhh don't tell anybody else) would be the fields on the entrance road to Bombay Hook, Savannah Rd south of Leipsic (and any of the backroads east of Rt 9) or Cartanza Road north of Little Creek. Also there are large Snow Bunting flocks at Cape Henlopen. Saturday I saw a bird flying that did not have white wing patches, but it disappeared into the grass and I never re-found it.
