I last viewed it on Saturday Dec. 9 with others from MOS BOD. It was being seen almost directly across from the visitors center, but you needed to be on the paved path below the center. It seems to prefer this area, or the cove directly across from the VC. Also has been seen from the boat ramp area looking back towards the VC. So I would start from the VC and proceed from there. It is an active bird, especially when feeding, but sometimes just sits on half-submerged logs along the edge of the lake. Beware the many female Buffleheads around!
