On my way down to do the CBCs I did a little looking to see what was around. Highlights so far today: Common Eider, female plumage, Ocean City Inlet at the tip of the south jetty. Common Merganser: 1 male at Ocean Pines Pond. [An uncommon bird: Worcester was the last county I needed it in] Ridgely WWTP is frozen solid. Best waterfowl vaiety today was Ocean Pines Pond: lots of Canvasback, 1 male Redhead, Ring-necked Duck, Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser, Mallard, American Wigeon, Gadwall, Northern Shoveler, American Black Duck Good Birding!
