It = was quite a sight to see a hummingbird at the snow covered feeder. We = had 3-4 inches Friday so I had to brush off the feeder several times. = The Rufous dose not seem to mind the cold at all. I have been taking = the feeders in at night to keep them from freezing and putting them back = up in the morning. Fortunately it has been above freezing during the = day so I haven't had to worry about keeping them thawed out while I'm at = work. As always birders are welcome! Directions: 10123 Hammond Road Bishopville MD DeLorme Pg. 35 A4.5 >From Route 50 in Berlin proceed north on Route 113 until the = intersection of Hammond road turn Right onto Hammond. Cross the RR tracks and turn right at the intersection, Make the next = left to remain on Hammond Road. Ours is the forth house on the left, a = gray Cape Cod about 250 feet from the road. The feeders are out back. We = will be and in and out. It is not necessary to call just come by.
