Goldeneye in Howard County Howard County's Centennial Park hosted this morning: Redheads - 18 (11 male, 7 female) Common Goldeneye - 1 (female) Ring-necked Ducks - 40 (5 female) Canvasback - 3 (all male) Black Duck - 6 Coot - 5 Wilde Lake and Lake Elkhorn are largely frozen and uninteresting. Tridelphia Reservoir/Brighton Dam hosted Great Blue Heron - 13 Common Merganser - 7 (4 male) Black Duck - 1 Centennial is located on rt. 108. Use the south entrance, on rt. 108 between rt 29 and Centennial Rd. Once in park, take first right, follow that to parking area by boat ramp, the ducks are off the boat ramp. Brighton dam is on Brighton Dam Rd. From rt. 108 just south of rt. 32, take Ten Oaks rd. left at the Y intersection onto Brighton Dam Rd. Several miles, you'll drive across the dam, park in lot on far side of dam, walk out onto dam, dress warm! Good Hunting, Kurt R.
