A hike in the American Chestnut Land Trust produced: Brown Thrasher Grey Catbird Hermit Thrush (3) Pileated Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker N. Flicker Golden-crowned Kinglet Ruby-crowned Kinglet Titmice, Carolina Chickadees Am. Goldfinch WEhite-br Nuthatch Parker's Creek harbored: Tundra Swan Bufflehead Long-tailed Duck Common Goldeneye Horned Grebe N. Beach has: rafts of Canvasback Lesser and Greater Scaup Hooded Mergansers (!) Am. Kestrel Benedict has: Ruddy Ducks Am. Coot Mute Swan Mallards Flag Harbor has Scaup Long-tailed Duck one lone Bonaparte's Gull Bald Eagles a log to trap my car in the sand........... sue hamilton finally at home again in Scientists' Cliffs Port Republic, Calvert Co PS Oh, yes, Bonnie, The only sparrows I saw were whitethroats, juncos and song!! I need lessons on sparrow location!
