Common Loon 7, Tundra Swan 2,500, Mute Swan = 9, Canada Goose 323, Brant 12, American Black Duck, 280, Gadwall 525, = American Wigeon 23, Northern Pintail 1600, Canvasback 27, Redhead 1, = Scaup sp 210, Surf Scoter 110, Long-tailed Duck 550, Bufflehead 2,000, = Clapper Rail 2, Sanderling 175, Greater Yellowlegs 2, Great Black-backed = Gull 280, Lesser Black-backed Gull (1 a, 1 imm), Bald Eagle 1 ( a ), = Peregrine Falcon 1, ( a ), Red-bellied Woodpecker, 1 (male). Interesting = note about the RBWO is that this bird has only been observed by me this = winter and late fall. I have not seen this species here during the = breeding season the 5 years I have been going to Smith Island in the = warm weather months. Im still trying to find out the correct name for = colloquial named bird "Pond Snout". I will let everyone know as soon as = I find out. Thanks for all your responses. Continued Good Birding.
