Avocet MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit For Stan and others, The American Avocet on the Chincoteague CBC by Jim Stasz and I was seen from the marsh at the east end of the walking road. The bird was seen flying over the pines to the south. It will take luck to relocate it as I don't think that area of Vaughn is accessible. However, we did find a group of Yellowlegs in the pond .25 north of the Harris's Sparrow spot from last year. That flock contained about 30 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, and 1 Long-billed Dowitcher. Perhaps the Avocet could find it's way there. Good Luck!
