It was also seen perched on corn stalks on the east side of the road. Meanwhile, on Seneca Road, there was a flock of about 70 Cedar Waxwings eating cedar berries and then eating snow! I have never seen a bird do this, although it may well be common, but it was unmistakable in this instance. They would perch for a while in a deciduous tree, then fly to the ground, grab a billfull of snow and either swallow it while on the ground or fly back in the tree to finish it off. At Hughe's Hollow there was a Phoebe, a Winter Wren, Yellow Rumps, and a flock of at least 50 Robins.
